OPERATIC SOCIETY
Napier Body to Present "Rio Rita" After having suspended operations for seven years, owing to Napier not having a theatre, the Napier Operatic Society has decided again to commence activities. The first performance to be given will ,be "Eio Rita." At the annual meeting of the society, presided over by Mr Cedric White, there was a Jarge attendance. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr N. Kettle; president, Mr J. W. Cargill; vice-president, Mr Jack Harris; musical director, Mr Cedric White; accompaniste, Mrs Bromley Hill; secretary, Mr H. Dowling; as-sistant-secretary, Mr C. Hassal; treasurer, Mr F. Meluish; comxnittee, Messrs P. C. Sorrell, K. Douglas, H. Spencer, W. Irelaud, E. Prebble and C. Tidy; auditor, Mr I. Langdon Prime.
