Because Thou hast been tempted — tried; Because Thy feet have trod this bitter way — O human Christ, we turn to Thee today; In our temptation be Thou at our side. So, passing through the fiery strife, We shall the same deep lesson learn, And st.ronger than of old, from trial turn To strengthen others in the storm of life. — E.H.D.
