* i ^ n Attractien at Palmerston For the Rojml Show. which is to be held at Palmerston- North on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 4, -H and 6, cash prizes totalling £2130, ex* cluding^ trophies and special prize amonnting to £200, have been allotted for the various events. Friday and Saturday have been devoted to the stock section, for which record entrics have been reeeived. The gala day of the show will fall on Saturday, and the dog show on Thnrsday and Friday. Never before has Palmerston North combined to- hold a show of such magnitude, for not only have the usual show events been in? cluded, but also a number which have ijo.t yet been witnessed on a showground in New Zealand before. . ' The aehedule in'cludes classcs £0; light
horses, ponies. Clydesdales, hunting competitions, trotting raees, Roman chariot races, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs, stock judging competitions, needlework, pickles, cookery. preserves, farmers' butter, photography, horticultural (decorative), model aeroplanes, philately and many others. Entries for the events close on October 21 with the secretary, Mr Hugk Kissling, P.O. Box 85, Palmerston North. Dog show schedules may b8 obtained from the Manawatu Kenncl Club, Box 137, Palmerston North.
