The mortgage on Oentral Park, Waipukurau, was reduced by £1278 on Wednesday evening, when Messrs. A. L. MoOormick (chairman), C. M. Williamson (secretary), and R. Ricketts (treasurer) went to Napier and handed over that ainount out of the proceeds of the Central H.B. Rugby Sub-Union's recent queen carnival. A balance of . approximately £300 remarns o,i the mortgage, at the low interest rate oi 3 per cent. Arrangements have been made to borrow £100 interest-free from the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union for' the purposo of sendirtg a representative team on tou'r next year.
