World Chief Scout

AUCKLAND, Last Night, Provided his health enables him to lundertake a long voyage, jjie Ohief Scout, 'Lord Baden Fowell, will visit New Zealand for about ten days shortly after Christmas, 1938, according ,to information given by him to the New Zealand representatives at the world jamboree held in Holland xecently. Ohe of these representatives, Mr. A. N. Casoy, of Auckland/ returned by the Wanganeila, and he said Lord Baden Powell had spent 45 minutes at the New Zealand camp during .the jamboreo and had told them that he wanted to see New Zealand again and lo some more trout fishing. Lord Baden Powell told the New Zealanders he intended to visit the Scouts ' jamboree to be held at Syduey at the end of 1938. After that he would come to New Zealand to renew old acquamtanceshjps before sailing to Jamaica to attend the world jamboree to be holti there early in 1939. While some of ihe Aesi Zealaud j scouts* were in Englaud for the Uorouai tion celebrations, said Mr. Casey, they had gone to the Ohief Scout 's iioiue at Pax Hill, Bentley, witli all ovc-rsea? scouts visiting Englaud.
