Timber Mill Threatened

A fire which broke out shortly after 2 o'clock this morning completely destroyed the boiler roora at' the Wai- ] pawa Timber Co. 's mill, near tbe Itail- ; way Station. The alarm was given by the nightwatehman, and the speedy arrival of the brigade prevenled the lire spreading to the adjoinrag building, which housed Valuable mill machinery. and to the stacks of dry timber in the mill yard.
