Further trouble on tko coalfields tkrougkout New Soutk Wales is tkreatened because of tke apparent fiailure»of tke compulsory conferenee conv^ned by tke Industrial Commission to discuss proposals for tke settlement of tke strikes at Broken Hill Proprietary's collieries at John Darling aud Burwood. 3 Tke union leaders stated tkat altkougk tke negotiations were not concluded a deadlock kad been reaehed. Tketcouncil of tke Miners' Federation t'o-day will discuss plans for extending tke dispute. Tke couneil will discuss proposals to witkkold coal supplies from tke steel works of tke Broken Hill Proprietary at Port Kembla and Neweastle by calling a strike of all collieries wkick supply tke Broken Hill Proprietary with coal. Suck a more would not only render idle many collieries now working, but also would cause serious dislocation of work at tke steel works. .
