Gay Son, has been gallopmg well over at Greenmeadows. Imogw has had a couple of races, but the xnagority of this field will bo making theii first appearanee in public. The forjn horses are GAY SON, SOREEN EORD and JEANNE. LANSDOWN HACK HANDIQAP Six furiongs inay be a little too short for the ex-Greenmeadows-trained gelding, Lucullus Lad. Rotorua and Son and Heir were both unlucky in the big fields at Hastings on Saturday. Colleen Gain is galloping well enough to snggest an eariy return tp foym. Of tl;e others the best may be Allunga, Lady Montana and Thala. The favourites may be ALLUNGA, SON AND HEIR and ROTOMA. HIGHWEIGHT HANDICAP Hazoor was second to Mittie at Otaki. Pladie has been pleasing his conneetions in his private work. Shy has proved up to this weight. Cricket, Puroto (full sister to Matara), Conveyor and Master Limond have the best credontials of the others. The best back- , ed may by SHY, PLADIE and HAZOOR. MAIDEN STAKES Hawke's Bay holds a strong hand in this race with" Mahutai, Lady Chat, Gieat Sandy, Eair Dale, Anubis, Star Lad and Jaeynth. MASTERTON HANDICAP Arctic King may find hisr job of giving Pukeko weight a tough propositiom Might won at Otaki, but cannot always be depended upon. 'l'iger Gain was last on Saturday. Hazoor is a possibility, and Helen Eord shoujd be euited to the small field. The favourites j may be PUKEHO, ARCTIC KING and j HELEN EOBD. | GRANDSTAND HANDICAP I Pukanui twistecl a couple of plates j on Saturday, and but for that may I have done better than his third to • Joviality and Oratory. Clossamor has 1 proved a first-class hack. Brunhilde is ■ not yet baek to fOTjn. Omayere has yet ! to fulfil earlier expectations. Mastei j Quex may do best of the other trio, : What will carry more investments than P AHANUI, CLESSAMOR or MASTER QUEX1 LAWN HANDICAP A good class of hack is engaged in this race. Lucullus Lad, Royal Record, Rotorua, Taro, Roaming, Joe Louis, Patagonia, Le Toquet and Parry are all good gallopers. The three best backcd I may be ROAM1NG, ROYAE RECORD and TARO. ELECTRIO HANDICAP Kiane is a recent winner, and Lady Siegfried is on the improve. At oue part of his career Siegmund was considered a likely classic winner, but failed to make that grade. This is his first race for some time. They are not a very tough lot of hacks. The best backed may be LADY SIEGERIED, LIA.NA and SUNNY BLONDE,
