ESKDALE MEETING

Mr. R. Williams presided over a fair attendance at the October meeting of the Eskdale Women's Institute. The monthly competitions were: Zinnia seedlings grown in box: Miss Blair 1, Mrs. Saunders 2, and Mrs. Kyle 3. Best bloom: Mrs. Saunders 1, Miss Blair 2 and Mrs. King 3. Mrs. King (delegate) gave a full report of the half-yearly meeting held at Greenmeadows. Mrs. Conway was appointed delegate to attend the Sarah Ann REodes Home Science eonference. A letter of thanks for a donation was received from the secretary of Makogai Leper Station. A demonstration of wood-iibre flowers was given by Mrs. Jones, Ormondville.
