SHERENDEN W.D.F.U. HOLD MONTHLY MEETING
The October nieetmg of tlie Sherenden Women's Division of the Farmers' Union was held at Whana Whana on Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Harold Beamish presiding over an excellent attendance of members. , The committee met before th'e meeting and decided to kold a garden ,'f ©t as usual in ecember and -airangements are well forward for this enojyable. fixture.D Mrs. H. Thompson, of Hastings, gave an address on tlie Division' s housekeepers and how they are managed and flnanced. and at the conclusion answered many questions. Mrs. Thompson is a most earnest speaker and enthusiastic worker for the hoiisekeeper sclieme and was listenecl to most attentively and thanked at the conclusion of her address. A delicious afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Carter, Chapman, Ensor and Miss Ensor. Later the schedule for the flower show in Noveraber was discussed. - The next meeting will be Irtld at Mrs. L. Nelson's home. Whakamarumaru.
