The plot concerns three slsters, who, living on the B-eviera with their mother, hear that their wealthy father, divorced for 10 years, is paying ardent attentions to a ro* nowned lady of diverting charm Knowing that their mother still loves him, they rush to New York to save daddy from entangling himself. They use strenuous znethods, employing a Count to draw the beauty into an alliance which will prevent their father from marrying her. The situations run the scale from the ridiculonsly funny to the uproariously langhable. Deanna Durbin, who has been singing on Eddie Cahtor's broadcasts for many months, makes her screen debut in "Three Smart Girls." She has the role of the youngest sister. The other two girls are portrayed by Nan Grey and Barbara Bead. Binnie Barnes is seen as the fortune-seeking temptress, and her mother is played by Alice Brady. Charles Winninger, as the -millionaire, Bay Milland and Miseha Auer are prominently cast. You will be enchanted by the music, thrilled by the romance and convulsed by the humour of "Three Smart Girls."
