KIA TOA CROQUET CLUB OPEN NEW SEASON
Ths Eia Toa Croquet Club held their opening for the season on Saturday when, despite the unfavourable weather conditions, quite a number of visitors as well as members were present. Mrs. A. Ross read a letter from the president, Mrs. W. Brinsley, at present in England, wishing the club every success in the coming season. Mr. N, J, Adamson welcomed the visitors, and -expressed all good wishes for a happy season. He then put the first ball through the hoop. Various eompelitions wej*e held during the afternoon, the winncrs being: l/adder, Mrs. ltecs Davics; trail, Mrs. Arkens ; sldttles, Mrs. G. Hill; golf croquet, Mrs. Ashworth; angles, Mrs. .1. Hill. '
