Melbourne Stockbroking Firm INQUIRY FOLLOWS PARTOER'S DEATH (Received IS, 10.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Oct. 12. It was announced to members of the Stock Exchange, that Mr A. J. Wolfe, of the firm of Gavin G. Brown and Co., had eeased to be a member of the Exchange. Mr Wolfe has not taken an actlve part in the business for about 15 years. His partner, Mr Sweatman, was found dead in his office on October 6 in circumstances suggesting suicide. Mr Hugh S. Chambers was authorised yesterdhy to investigato the affairs of the firm. As far as the investigation has gone it is estimated that there will be a deficieney of between £30,000 and £35,000.
