AUCKLAND, Last Nigb^ The Auckland Kacing Club's spring meeting was e'oncluded at Ellerslie to-day in overcast -weather. The attendance was 7750, and the track was fast. The totalisator handled £29,764 10s compared with £25,745 last year, an increase of £4019 10s. The figures for fche two days were £72,412 as against £60,376 last year, an increase of £12,036. Anion began smartly but was quickly joined by Gallio, aud they led across the top from Tosh, Baehelor King, Prince Acre and Boyal Dance with Trilliarch and ^Whirling in the rear. Gallio and Anion were first into the 'straight from Prince Acre, Baehelor King and Tosh. Valamito iooked a winner a furlong from home, ibut Knight of Australia secured a xun fcm the rails and got up to win by a neck from Valamito.
