Business of Monthly Meeting The monthly meeting of the Hawke's Bay Gounty Council was heldyesterday. Present: Mr. F. D. Logan (chairman), and Councillors C. Lassen, G. C. Smith, R. Harding, S. Bcnnett , E. H. Beamish, M. S. Chambers, "*V. Turner, N. P. Eriksen and W. Tucker. An objection to the site for the proposed roadman's cottage at Waimarama was received from a ratepayer. — The mattei was deferred until it can be considered by Mr. S. M. Palmer. The question oi the formation of an old road along the old channel of the JL'utaekuri river from Powdrell's bend to Meeanee, was l'eferred to the overseer for a report.
