RIFLE SHOOTING

Napier Defence Clab Tlie opening slioot of the Napier Pefence Rifie Club took place on Saturdav at 300 and 600 yards. Owing to counter attractions and th© threatening weather, the muster was not up to the usual number. The condifcions for shootmg were -poor, a dull light and an erratic wind beating som'e of the marksmen. Possibles were registered by C. Holt, at 500 and J. Munro at 600 yards.
