COST OF DAY'S WORK
County Increase of 47| Per Cent. "A day's work now costs the county 47$ per cent more than last year," said the chairman, Mr F. B. Logan, at today 's meeting of the Hawke's Bay (Jounty Council. "This is a serious problem, and wliat it will cost next year goodness only knows. ' ' "We have got out of it lightly with our sealing work increasing only 31 per cent," remarked Mr W Tucker.
