Very good prospects for tbe South African wool season Were referred to by Mr. T. Havenga, the South African Minister of Finance, speaking at the opening of an agricultural show in Cape Province recently. Only last wee«, Mr. Hpvenga said, he had signed an agreement which would enable Germany to purchase wool to the value of £3,250,000 under the clearing agreement, The Union Government was also endeavouring to retain the interest of Japan in the purchase of South African wool.
