• ? ROBLEM OF AfJCOMMODATION. Plans for a bigger Wembley have been shelvpd by the English Fpotball Association. It was proposed' to enlarge the" ground to hold 130, G0Q. This would have meant 35,000 more seats, at a vost of £60,000. But the English Football Association was adyised that the Olympic Games of 1944 may be" held in London in a stadium to be built for the nation on the Crystal Palace site. Guriously enough, the lease of Wembley Stadium terminates in 1944. For years thousands of people have been^ unable tp get tickets for the English Cup final. Lpndon clubs have. offered to build grounds to hold up to •150,000 provided they got the cup final staged there, but the controlling body would npyer waive the neutrality ruie.
