Large Gathering of Delegates

WAIPAWA, Last Night. Striking evidence of the growth of the National Party organisation' in the Waipawa electorate was aiforded hy'tne meeting of the electorate committee in the Munieipal Hall, Waipawa, on Moht . day night. All. the eighteen brahches were represented by 64 delegates, • The report. presentd to the . meeting showed that since the previous meeting in August two branches had been lost to the Pahiatua electorate, but twq new" branches had heen formed, resulting in' a substantial increase in - inembership. ' A further branch was being established. The rcport of the delegates to the Dominion conferenco was received with enthusiasm, particularly the 'reference to the wonderful reception afforded the Leader of the Opposition. the, Hon. Adam Hamilton,' by the 400- delegates and members assembled from' jill parts of New Zcaland, and to tho unqualiiied nlotion of conliclence in hira as leador of the party unanimously carried by tho gathering. The report showed also the wonderful growth. tliroughout the coun-
try of the party organisation. Arrangements for the forthcoming meeting for tho selection of a candidate were completed. Mr C. G. E. Harker, chairman of the electorate committee, as appointed chairman of the selection1 committee and returning offlcer, and the selection committee will meet at Waipawa on November 30.
