(Received 8, 10.40 a.m.) BERLIN, Oct. 7. The death has occurred of the film star Renate Mueller. According to a London message, th« Daily Mail's Berlin cbrreepondent says that the Jewish persecution was partly the cause of Fraulein Muelh^'a death." She had a deep attachment for ;a wealthy merchant who had Jewish blood, and she. ref used to be separated from him, contrary to the ban ' on German and Jewish associatiohs. For this reason she was temporarily suspended from acting in German filnw. Her lover finally reluctantly went to England, after which she was allowed to reappear. Her distress a,t parting, plus the effects of a tropical disease acquired during the filming of a picture in Africa, combinea to cause her death.
