(Eeceived 8, 10.40 a.m.) GIBEALTAE, Oct. 7. On the arrival of the destroyer Basilisk the crew stated that the six depth charges dropped evidently split the sides of the submarine

which attacked the Basilisk 0 S Oape Santonio on Monday. A large quantity ot oil came to the surface. The destroyer 's officers are satisfied that the submarine went to the bottom of the sea.
