"No Exaggerated Expectation of U.S. Action" .VALUE OF CO-OPERATION (Eeceived 8, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 7. Mr. Winston Churchill, speaking at the Conservative Conference at Scarborough, at which 2000 delegates supported a resolutiOn approving the Government 's foreign policy, said he believed that the Ministers enjoyed the confldence of the Empire. ^In referring to President Eoosevelt 's speeeh, he said that, tliough we should _ entertain no exaggerated expeetations of American action, nevertheless the understanding between the two Eng-lish-speaking peoples was bound to bring an enormous contribution and consolidation to the forccs working for peace and freedom.
