LOYAL ORANGE LODGE
Usual Monthly Meeting At the monthly meeting of the Hastings Lodge No. 24 there was a good attendance of members. A friend was eleeted to becOme a member. A communication was reeeived from the Grand Lodge announcing the death or two P.G. Masters, W. Bro. W. Hunter, of Palmerston North, and W. Bro. J. Middleton, of Christchurch. A motion of condolence was carried in silence. An invitation Wa's accepted to attend the meeting of No. 5 Napier, to witness one of the juvenile members being initiated into the adult lodge. An invitation was alsd accepted to attend the Boys' Juvenile Lodge No. 7 at their next "meeting, when a ritual competition will be held for a jewel presented by P.G. Master Bro. H. Hunter, of "Wellington, for senior members, and a medal presented by the superintendents, for j.unior members. It was decided tliat the December meeting be taken charge qf by the Past Masters of No. 24. A eordial welcome was extended to several members who had been sick, or liad been away from the district. A pleasant time was spent at suppor, when final arrangements were made for the visit to Napier.
