Death of Wellington Visitor Evidence of identification was given by a nephew, George Smith, when the inquesf into the death of -Joseph' Smith, uf Wellington, a watersider, who was killed in an accident at Port Ahuriri ou Tuesday eveniug, was opened before Mr J. Miller, S.M.^ in Naj)ier this morning. It was revealed in evidence that tlie deceased, although he required glassos for reading only, had been wearing them when .he left the house to cross the road to the beaeh. He was wearing a very blue suit without Ihe coat, and was in white ehir't sleeves. His hearing was good. The inquest was then adjourned sine dia.
