The Addington Market SMALLER ENTRIES YESTERDAY

CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Entrles were smaller at Jto-day's weekly Addington market and as a result there was a teudency towards stronger .values in most sections of fat stock. Store sheep; A larger eutry .than last week, but. a slow saie except for ewes with a good proportion of lambs. .These sold up to 21s all countedj others to a i 6d; ewe hoggets sold for. a truck lot at 31s 6d, wether hoggets at 23s 5d and grown wethers at the same price. These prices were for the best. Spring lambs; 140 penned and the best price was 34s 4d, average price per lb. lld to 12d. Fat sheep; An entry .of about 4000, Heavy sheep held recent nigh values, whilst lighter sorts were a shade dearer. A good sale throughout. Extra prime heavy wethers to 47s lOd, prime heavy 41s to 44s 6d, prime medium weight 37s 6d tp 40s 6d, ordinary 33s 6d to 37s, extra prime heavy ewes to 49s lOd, , prime heavy 36s to 40s, prime medium .weight 31s 6d to 35s, ordinary to 31s. Fat cattle: A small entry of 340 head. Heavy gteers were better by 20s to 25s per head and light weight cattle by up to 15s, There was a keen sale uutil near the concluding stages, Best beef made from 38s to 40s per lOOlbs., extra to 42s 6d, medium to good 35s to 37s 6d, ordinary 31s tp 34s, and inferior down to 28s. Extra prime heavy steers to £20 7s 6d, prime heavy £16 5s tp £17 10s, prime medium weight £14 to £16 5s, ordinary £10 15s to £13 10s; exfra prime heifPrs to £15 2s 6d, prime £1Q 15s to £13 15s, medium £7 15s tp £10 5s; extra. prime cows to £16 7s 0d, prime £9 5s' to £11, medium £7 5s to £9.
