REGENT THEATRE
"MOONLIGHT SONATA." Charm is the keynote , of "Moon* light Sonata," with Paderewski as the chief charmer, which screens at the Eegent Theatre to-night. There have been mor© exciting films, but nono more beautiful or so completely satis* fying. On the Bcreen at the Regent Theatre to-morrow there will eome to life tbat unforgettable character, the Old Soak, immortalised by Don Marquis in his original novel. Wallace Beery now finds his greatest Tole in this characterisation. The picture, "Good OM Soak," from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. draws a cross-seGtion of the America : that was — the almost United States in the era of prohibition. Beery portrays the character of a small-town ; philosopher who retires frgm active business in order to locate the local speakeasies. The complications of the plot revolve around a fankly .nestegg that is stolen. Of course the Old Soak is .blamed. The manner in which he restores the money and reunites the clan makes a story that provides imany laughs for the -audience.
