Ambulance in Smash on Way to Scene DOUBLE ACCIDENT' IN SOUTH

DUNEDIN, Last Night. A mptor-car driven by Edward Giles came into collision with another car at Mosgiel with the rcsult that tho driver and his brother suffered injuries which neceesitated their rcmoval to hospital, while three other pasBCngera reeeived minor abrasions. Mr Giles 's car was the lighter of the two, and the itupact was so severe that it overturned into a ditch. Mr Giles reeeived a fractured nose and his brother, Thomas Giles, suffered concussion. An unusual feature bf the accident was that, while it waa proceeding to the scene, the St. John motor ambulance was itself involved in a collision. The ambulance was being driven along the Main South road when an approachiug car drove out from a side street. The driver of the ambulance swerved *to avoid a collision, but the vehicle went into a violeut skid, capsizing and turning two somersaults to land back on its wheels. The occupants of tho ambulance were uninjured, but tbe vehicle was unable to proceed on its own power.
