The following cablegram hias been reeeived from Nauking by the Chinese Consul: — "A concentrated* Japanese attack was made at -the Loticn-Kiati ng highway, but the Chinese. line remaius untroken. "On the Taippu railway, in North China, the Chinese drove ihe Japanese from Sangyuan and recaptured Hsuanchen, Potow and Fengchialou. They continne to push northward. "On the Pinghan railway the Japanese line is in the neighbourhood of Tingchow, on the Suiyuan-Shansi front. Following the f all of Pinghsing kwan, the Japanese advanced towards Taihsien, near Yenmenkou."
