Win for Misses O'SulIivan and Meu:: AUSTRALIANS PLAY WELL The New Zealand ladies' championship foursomes deeided over 18 holes of stroke play on handicap was won at Waiohiki on Saturday by Miss K. O'SulIivan and Miss J. Meuli, from Hawera, who had a five-stroke lead from their nearest opponents, Mrs K and Miss T, Tareha, of Napier. The event was won last year by Miss V Eleming, of Christchurch, and Miss JHorwell, of Timaru. The weather was beautifully fine and a laTge crowd of visitors provided good galleries fot the principal games The trophy for the best gross score went to the Australian ^.air Miss R Kernot, the present lady champion of Australia, and Miss E. M. Hutton, with 79, who were closely pressed by the Australian sisters Mrs Sloan Morpeth -and Miss S. Tolhurst, who retumed- a card of 80.
