(Eeceived 4, 8.45 a.m.) BARCELONA, Oct. 2. Three squadrons of rebel bombing planes carried.out a raid on the worlc-ing-class district to-day. There were terrible scenes. Civiliaus who escaped tpT boonbs fell victims to maehine-gun flre. It is believed that 300 are dead. Thirty-our buildings were destroyed. Twelve bombs fell in the vicinity of a school. The children who were still alive fled from the collapsing building, but were mowed down by macliine-gun fire as they ran. The reseuers aro still combing the ruius for bodies. A message from Valencia state.o tliat ten planes droppcd bombs 011 the city. Several iircs were sturted. Many were killed aud injured, and 100 Jiouses were damaged
