NELSON, This Day. Interviewed regarding the near appi'oach of tlie completion of the Nelson aerodrome, Captain G. B. Bolt, cliief pilot and technical adviser to the Ooo.k Strait Airwaya, said tliat there was absolutely no doubt that tlie new Nelson aerodrome would be 100 per cent. So far as weather was coneerned it would be not only the best aerodrome in the central area from New Plymouth *to Christchurch, but from the pilot's point of view, there were no obstacles and it was very "get-at-able'' from all a'ngles. It could be approached from the sea and was at the bead of a large wide plain. Captain Bolt said that, in kis opinion, its central situation and the advantages enumerated above would ensure the Nelson 'drome being well in the picture so far as the trans-Tasman terminus were coneerned. • Local opinion centres on this 'drome as being of great, importance, strategically situated as it is at tlie bead ' of a large bay, 60 miles deep.
