Mr T. Angell, Waipawa, is at present visiting Auckland. Mr. B. A. Sanders, who has been on holiday, returned to Hastings last night. The Rev. M. L. A Bull, assistant curate at Whangarei, has been appointed vicar of Paparoa, in succession to the Rev. H. Sinclair, who is now vicar of Papakura. Captain D. T. Maxwell, New Zealand Corps, returned to Wellington by the Wanganella on Wednesday, after taking a course at the Staff College, Cambea-ley, England. He will be attaclied to army headquarters, Wellington, Mr. H. M. Brown, the 1935 All BlacL footballer, who was married in 1936, and retired from the game in the same year, has received notice of hds transfer from Auckland to Gisborne. Mr. Brown, who is on the staff of tlie Bank of New South Wales, is expected in Gisborne next week.
