•CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night.' Timber xnerchants, builders and tbose engaged in allied building trades in tbe Canterbury area are co-operating in a Dominion-wide campaign to impress upon tbe Government tbe necessity for liberalising tbe State Advances scheme. It is proposed that a deputation representative of tbe whole Dominion ebould wait on tbe Prime Minister, tbe Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, and tbe Minister in Charge of tbe State Advances Corporation, tbe Hon. W. Nash, at an eahly dat© jvith a request that core liberal assistance sbould be given for tbe building of houees for individual ownersbip. Preliminary arrangcments for tbe Cante/bury representation in the deputation were made at a meeting held in Cbristcburcb yesterday afternoon, and it was decided to meet again next week after tbe various organisations represented bad been able to discuss tbe proposals.
