AUqKLAND, Last Night. Just before their departure by the Awatea from tho Queen'a Wharf on Friday afternoon, the inembers of the South African football team will be given a civic farewell by the Mayof, Sir Ernesb Davis, and the chairman O I' the Auckland Harbour Board, the Hon. * T. Bloodwortb Loud-speakers are to be ereCted to enable all -present to hear the speeches, aud the Municipal Band will take part;^ The Prinie Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. * J. Savage, has been invited by telegram to send a farewell message to ihe team, to be read at tbe gathering.
