FAREWELL PARTY HELD IN NAPIER
To farewell Mrs. W. S. Kent, .who leaves Napier shortly for Christchurch, Mrs. W. D. FitzGerald and Mrs, H. Tonkin were joint hostesses at a bridge afternoon held at Mrs. FitzGerald's home in France road, Napier, on Monday. . The guests were entertained in the drawing room and dining room, the' former bexng decorated with lovely crabapple blossom and bowls of anemones and violets, while vases of colourful ranunculi were arranged in the dining room and in the centre of the large. table was a floating bowl of pink blossom and anemones. Mrs. W. D. FitzGerald wore a gown of panama violet chiffon velvet, with full bishop sleeves, the high neekline being finished with a diamante clip. Mrs./H. Tonkin's frock was. of black ring velvet with a large diamante clasp worn on the corsage. Mrs. W. S. Kent. wore a" smart frock of navy patterned in white with which she wore a small navy toque and a spray of natural flowers. Those present were: — Mesdames ,W. FitzGerald, H. Tonkin, W.- Kent, C. P.
