The Napier Chamber of Commerce annual geberal meeting will be held in Mr. R. M. Chadwick's office on Thursday, September 30, at 7.45 p.m. The H.B. Kennel Association will hold a general ineeting in the Premier Hall, Hastings, on Thursday, September 30, at 8 p.m.-To-day is the final day for the toceipt of entries for all classes at the Hawke 's • Bay Spring Show. Entries may he made at the society 's office, Church Lane, Napier, which will bfe open till 9 p.m. or at Mr. F. C. Wilkinson's office, Queen street, Hastings, which will also be open till 9 p.m. At the showgrounds, Dannevirke, on Tuesday, October 5, the 15th annual salo of pedigree Jfersey bulls will take place under the auspicos of tho Dannevirke District Jorsey Cattle Club. An excellent entry has been received; 49 bulls will ' be offered as well as tivo pedigree Jersey heifers. The bulls have been subjeeted to an inspection prior to the printing of the catalogue, so that intending buyers can look fofWard to seeing ani-^alS to be ofGered in first-elass coiidition. Selling will commence at ll a.m., being preceded by the inspection and classification, and the judgittg of the cattle is timed to start at 10.30 a.m. Mr. H. Wilson, of Hastings, is to act as judge.
