PUTARURU ROAD MISHAP
■ • • 1 V A The mishap reported to have occurred , to Mt. L, E. Harris on ' the - Putaruru road on Friday night while proeeeding. to Auckland, was, fortunately, not asbad as previously stated. Mr, Harris' car did not leave the road, nor was; it damaged in any way whatever. Mr. Harris, who was accompanied byofficials of the Hawke's Bay Kugby Dnion, was rounding a corner where some new road work had been mrutlv carried out, when both the offsid'e wheels sank heavily into the soft formatiou where the road had been built up. As the car was unable to pull itself out unaideS the services of a light truck were obtained.
