HIGHLAND MUSIC AT NAPIER WEDDING
MARTIN— LEE Pink and white camellias tied with white satin bows deeorated St. Paul's Church, Napier, for the wedding of Hazel Margaret, daughter of Mr and Hrs R. A. Lee, of Napier, and Leonard Bruce, son of Mr and Mrs W. Martin, of Christchurch. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Stevenson and Mr A. Pacey presided at the organ. Escorted by her father, the bride was gowned in ivory satin, the skirt ialling in folds and forming a very long train. The Brussels lace veil (lent by Mrs G. Meatyard, Wellington) f eli from a haio of stiifened net which was embroidered with silver thread and seed pearls. Her bouquet was of whito gardenias and maidenhair fern. Two maids attended'the bride, Miss' Viola Lee, sister of the bride, and Miss Joan Perliins. Thoy were frocked alike in honey-gold chift'on velvet, the skirfcs falling to form slight trains. They wore halos of gold'lame and carried trailing bouquets of aufumn-tinted blooins. The duties of best man wero carried out by Mr Vic Ormandy, of 'Ohrist- ! church, and the grobmsman was "Mr | ' George Grant, of Waipukurau. Messra ! B. Austcn and C. Aked attemfed as * ' ushers. j On leaving the. church tho bridal j party passed th rough a guard of honour | of swords held by, children iin,.Hlguiand j costume, while appropriate Highland music was played by :Pipe-Major Lawson. . After the ceremony a reception and danee ■ was held in the Silver Slipper Cabaret, . which was artistieally deeorated with golden flowers and fern, .
