ASHBURTON Last Night. The Ashburton and _ North Canterbury Hospital Boards will each benefit to the extent of £48,147 under the will of the late Miss Jane Chalmers. In a letter to the Ashburton board the trustees stated that fhe estate was sworn at £222,488, death duties amounting to £62,497, and legacies to £62,500, leaving after expenses a residue of £96,295, including two endowments of £10,000 each to be divided between the two boards. The previous estimate was £30,000 each.
