Dr. W. B. N. Maloney, the eighty-tkree-year-old liieniber of tlie Australian House of Eepresentatives, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the Eemuera from London. Mr Frank Merritt, meat grader at the Hawke's Bay Farmers' Meat Co.'s works, Whakatu, has been appointed as supervising grader and inspector to the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board, and will take up his duties at an early date. Mr L. E. Gielgud, under-secr'etary* general of the lnternational League of Red Oross Societies, who is visiting Now Zealand, left Wellington on Saturday for the South Island. He was accoinpanied by Mrs Gielgud, Mrs T, H. Lowry, Dominion president of the New Zealand Red Cross Society, and Miss Hester Stringer, Wellington.
