SEMI-FINALS PLAYED Pirates Provide Surprise for Napier O.B, CELTIC HAVE WIN The semi-fmals for the Lane Cup knocktout eompetition were played in Hastings and Napier on Saturday afternQon. Tho conditiQns were not pf .the best, there being a higb wind. and rain. The attendances were negligible, there not being a dozen spectators at either McLean Park, Napier, or Nelson Park, Hastings, for the opening of the games, A surprise was provided at Napier, where Piratqs eliminatpd Napier II.S.O.B. by a substantial margin.
