Gordon Walker, Ltd. Sharp rises in prices of all lines of live stock is reported by Messrs Gordon Walker, Ltd., at their weekly market sale held in their Russell street saleyards on Saturday last. Weaners roae as much as 10/- per head in price ahd slips and stores also showed a corresponding increase, Porkers sold at late rates. Poultry was all eagerly sought after, and leying birds sold up to 6/- per head. Dairy cows met with a poor marketi Fruit, produce and sundries sold at satisfactory prices to vendors. The following prices were realised : — * Poultry: Table birds 3/4 to 9/6, W.L. hens 3/4 to 6/-, W.L. cockerels 3/5 to 5/4, B.O. hens 3/6 to 4/10. B.O. cockerels 3/9 to 5/4, R.S.R. hens 3/3 to 4/2, bantams 1/6 to 2/-, 1-yr "W.L. hens 4/6 to Q'-, B.O. chick cockerels 1/3 to 2/-, W.L. chick cockerels 2d to 9d, I.R. ducks 6/6 to 7/6 per pair, Museovy ducks 7/8 to 9/4 per pair.
