YACHT NOT FOUND

Tanker's Master Denies Sighting Endeavour I. LONDON, Sopt. 24. The Endeavour I. has not been found, despite a report that the yacht had been located. The incorrect report came to Lloyd's from Horta, a seaport in the A'zores. The aiessage said the oil-tanker Amastra had sighted the yacht in the position indicated, and the news caused rejoicings, including the ringing of church bells, in the Essex yillage of Tollesbury, where most of the crew live. Early this morning, however, the master of the Amastra sent a'radio mossage to Lloyd's: "Hearing it brohdcast from London that the Amastra had sighted the Endeavour T., I feel deeply concerned, as I have not seen or heard anything of her. I gravcly- deplore the statement made." - ' |i
