CHRISTCHUBCH, Last Night. Almost unanimous support for tho Government's proposal for the registration of bicycles tkrougkout the Dominion was given at a public meeting tonight at which the cyelists of Christchurch were invited to hear the Minis. ter of Transport, the Hoit R. Semple, explain the scheme. The Minister announced that the registration fee would be one shilling, payable once only and not annually. The meeting earried a resolution heartily supporting the Minister in his road safety campaign and affirming thatothe Tegistration of bicycles was necessary, not only in the best interests of cyclists, but also as a further step in the .effective control of the transport system of the Dominion.
