Literally a whole speedway full of championship racing drivers appear with Charles Quigley^ Dorothy Wilson, Eddie Nugent, and Patrieia Farr in Colum^ bia's new drama, "Speed to Spare." It is the tale of a champioqehip racing driver who Iiears that his younger brother, from whom he has been separated sinee his early ehildhood, is, under a different name, the country 's ace midget-auto pilot. Striking up a casual acquaintance with the youth, the older brother sees that he is a conceited lad who needs taking down. The youngster quiekly goes after his brother 's girl. Thrill piles on thrill as the egotistical youth drives a maddening race and nearly kills his brother. Whp* happens after that only the picture can tell you with all its effectiveness. "Midnight Court" is a Warner Bros. melodrama starring Ann Dvorak. Miss Dvorak pJays the part of a court stenographer who, one evening is horrified to see in the line-up the brilliant lawyer who was once her husband — but now a confirmed drunkard. The themo of the picture is her rehabilitation of him and the means by which they expose a gang of automobile thieves. Then there is the Joe Louis v. Braddock fllm, showing every detail of the contest.
