TWO PEATTJRES TO-NIGHT. A thrill-packed melodrama of flying aces, foreign spies and modern romance, "Crack-up," the Twientieth CenturyEox picture which screens at the State Theatre to-night, is pulse-quickening entertainment that keeps spectators on the edges of their seats, With lts fastaction and suspense, right up to the exciting surprise climax. "The Outeast of Poker Elat" is the second feature on the programme. Preston Foster an'd Jean Muir are the featured players A rollicking v/hirlwind of mischief and excitement, ' the irrepressihle Jane Withers romps merrily through the laugh-provolcing situations of "The Holy lJ,error>" the Twentieth CenturyFox comedy hit which opens at the State Theatre to-morrow. In this latest and gayest fun-feast of her eareer, mvolving her in hilarious doings wth the Navy, the young madcap is ably supported , by Anthony Martin, Leah Kay, Joan DavLs, E1 Brendel and Joe Lewis. When "Ginger" Jane joins the fleet and procecds to baft'le the Adroirals, while making herself solid with the midshipmen, the norma! course of • events get thrown for a riotous loss as the impish hoyden sings her way into trouble. and then dances her way right out agam. There will be five sessions to-raor-row. and children attending the 10.30 session will receive a eoloured photograph of Jane Withers all ready for framing.
