Because of a grudge tliev harboured against their employer, two young men, Jaines Edward Stoddart, aged 27, and Buport J ame§ Banks Etheridge, aged 20, decided to settle the score by tipping a pound of sugar into his petrol tank. They pleadecj guilty this morning to a charge of wilfu] damage. The police stated that the accused were roundsmen for a dairyman, who had given them notice. A petrol-sugar mixture got into the engine, causing considerable trouble and some expense."
