WELLINGTON, This Day. When the House of Representatives met this morning Mr S. G. Holland (Nat., Christchurch North) gave notice to ask the Minister of Finance if hie attention had been .drawn to a report broadcast from the Empire station" at Daventry statin'g that there was a posaibility of the New Zealand Government taking complete control of banking ia, the Dominion, and whethev he would make an early statement of the Government 's intentions^ thus allaying fears ubroad and also in local financial circlos. Mr Holland also asked the Minister if his attention had been drawn to a statement made- by the member for Roskill in Auckland that' the Government intended to take further . flteps towards the complete control of banking during the present seSsion of Parliament. • (Other reports appear on page 3.),
