General inference: The recent depresglon has passed east of Chatham Island, and an anti-cyclone is advancing across the Tasman Sea. A secondary depression is, however, now moving on to southern New Zealand, where pressure is falling slightly. Forecast: Moderate to strong southwesterly winds, veering in places temporarily to west or north-west. Weather: Cold and changeable. with ©ccasional showers at many places.
